In the early 1900s what did it mean for cities o be dry

They didn’t have much to live in. The Great Depression. They were scarce in food, money, clothing & etc. If you wanna learn more about the great depression theirs this show I used to watch as a kid which it’s not boring it’s called The Waltons it’s not really a show to learn but it definitely shows you what it was like.

Going in the 1900s was The Great Depression. Before hand to be dry meant they didn't have many sources which include some of the following (food, supplies, fresh water) They were dry of goods and didn't have much to rely on.
