The domain is all real numbers except 3.


This is an example of a rational function, and it is defined for all real numbers except those that make the denominator equal to 0. (Division by zero is undefined.)


The denominator is x - 3, so you want to AVOID x - 3 = 0 which means avoid x = 3.
