Subtracting a negative has the same result as adding a positive.

The answer would be option D "11 + 3 5/8." When you are trying to subtract two integers you have to use this rule: KCC or Keep, Change, Change. So in this case You will keep the positive 11 change the subtraction sign into a plus sign and change the negative sign in 3 5/8 to a plus sign. Which would make the equation equal 11 + 3 5/8 therefore will have the same answer.
