Ryan has a shelf that is 64 over 3 inches wide. How many magazines can Ryan arrange on the shelf if each magazine is 4 over 3 inches thick?

28, because the number of magazines is 64 over 3 ÷ 4 over 3
27, because the number of magazines is 64 over 3 • 4 over 3
16, because the number of magazines is 64 over 3 ÷ 4 over 3
43, because the number of magazines is 64 over 3 ⋅ 4 over 3

We need to divide 64/3 by the book thickness, 4/3. Since these two fractions have the same denominator, we can drop the 3's and focus on 64/4.

64/4 = 16

The third answer is the correct one. The other three answers aren't even close!
