Ramon’s is buying boxes of party favors for his sons birthday party. He has to decide how many boxes he should purchase. 28 children will attend the party. If each child gets 2 party favors and there are 14 favors in each box, how many boxes should Raymond buy?

To ensure that each of the 28 children receive 2 favors, a total of 2(28), or 56, favors are needed. Four boxes of 14 favors each will yield those 56 favors.

Hi!

Every kid should get 2 party favors.

28 x 2 = 56

Raymond needs at least 56 party favors. There are 14 favors in each box. Divide.

56/14 = 4

The answer is 4 boxes.

Hope this helps! :)
