Over a 20-year period, a certain city recorded a total rainfall of 621 inches. The rainfall during this past year was 28 inches. If the variable r stands for the total amount of rain for the other 19 years, which of the following would be a reasonable value for this variable? I would say c, 600 inches. Because I subtracted 621-28 and got about 600. Because they are looking for the value of what was left for the 19 Years. And you could then fully eliminate D because it can’t be more that 621 because that’s how much rainfall they got in 20 years. And so since you know that one of the years is 28 inches of rainfall, you could then subtract to get how many inches of rainfall for the rest of the 19 years
