What was the significance of the Soviet Union’s invasion of Korea during World War II?

China joined the war to provide support in the Pacific Theater.

The Japanese surrendered out of fear of the Soviet army.

Not sure what the answer is but I just took this test and it's not the Japanese surrendered. Couldn't lead you towards the right answer though I hope knowing which one is wrong helps.
