Hey!

Let's switch the equation around:

52 - 7 = 9x

The sign changes when moved to the other sign. At first, it was (+), now it's (-).

First do 52 - 7

52 - 7 = 45

That leaves you with:

45 = 9x

Divide both sides by 9

(45)/(9) = (9x)/(9)

Hey there! :)

9x + 7 = 52

Subtract 7 from both sides.

9x = 52 - 7

Simplify.

9x = 45

Divide both sides by 9.

9x ÷ 9 = 45 ÷ 9

Simplify.

x = 5

~Hope I helped!~
