Greetings!

To find the slope and y-intercept of this line, we need to rearrange the equation into slope y-intercept form:

y=mx+b

To accomplish this, let's first isolate the y variable:

-7x-4y=12

First, add 7x to both sides:

(-7x-4y)+(7x)=(12)+(7x)

-4y=7x+12

Divide both sides of the equation by -4:

(-4y)/(-4)=(7x+12)/(-4)

y=(7)/(-4)x+(12)/(-4)

y=-(7)/(-4)x-3

The slope (m) is equal to:

\boxed{-(7)/(4)}

The y-intercept (b) is equal to:

\boxed{-3}

I hope this helped!

first you do is add 7x on both sides to get
-4y= 7x+12 then divide -4 on both sides to get

y= -7/4x-3

the slope is -7/4

the intercept is -3
