ACT Help?

the hypotenuse of a certain right triangle is 10 units long. if one of the legs is 8 units long, what is the area of the triangle?

you use pythagorean theorem ( c*2=a*2+b*2). C is the hypotenuse and A and B are legs and they're squared not multiplied by 2. you solve for the other leg and it ends up being 6 so you just use the triangle area formula and you'll get 6×8/2= 24 square units
