Given:

A line passes through two points (-7, -5) and (-7, -2).

To find:

The equation of the line.

Solution:

If a line passes through two points, then the slope of the line is

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

The line passes through two points (-7, -5) and (-7, -2). So, the equation of the line is

m=(-2-(-5))/(-7-(-7))

m=(-2+5)/(-7+7)

m=(3)/(0)

m=\infty

Here, slope is ∞. It means it is a vertical line of the form
x=a, where a is constant.

It the given points x-coordinates are same, i.e., -7. So, equation of the line is

x=-7

Therefore, the equation of the line is
x=-7.
