we have

2(x-4)=5(4-2x)+4x

2x-4*2=5*4-5*2x+4x

2x-8=20-10x+4x

2x+10x-4x=20+8

8x=28------------> equation to solve

x=28/8

the answer is

8x=28

Answer:

2x-8 = 20-6x

Explanation:

The distributive property tells us to multiply the term outside parentheses by everything inside:

2(x-4) = 5(4-2x)+4x

2(x)+2(-4) = 5(4)+5(-2x)+4x

2x-8 = 20-10x+4x

Combining like terms on the right gives us

2x-8 = 20-6x
