Isolate the x in both cases. What you do to one side, you do to the other.

11x + 4 < 15

Subtract 4 from both sides

11x + 4 (-4) < 15 (-4)

11x < 11

isolate the x, divide 11 from both sides

11x/11 < 11/11

x< 1

x < 1 is your answer for the first one

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, isolate the x.

12x - 7 > -25

Add 7 to both sides

12x - 7 (+7) > -25 (+7)

12x > -18

Isolate the x, divide 12 from both sides

12x/12 > -18/12

x > -1.5 is your answer for the second one.

Answer:

All values of X is the solution.

Explanation:

All values of X is the solution.

Solving the equation you get x<1 and x >-3/2 (which translates into x< -3/2 because you have to flip the sign when negative.

Graphing that gets you to the point where you can see that both lines are on the same space (I can't really show it to you, I hope you understand)

Meaning all values of x are the solution.

:) hope this helps!
