Verify whether or not the algebraic expressions are equivalent for m=4. Explain your answer.

2m+5+m-4

-5m-4+8m+5

Plz help me...again...I’m so confused!!

For this, solve:

2m+5+m-4=-5m-4+8m+5

Simplify into:

3m+1=3m+1

By this, you can tell that these two are equal, but if you need more proof:

Substitute m for 4:

3(4)+1=3(4)+1

12+1=12+1

13=13
