Explain what is preterite tense, when it is used, and how it is different from the present tense.

Hello!

Preterite tense is basically past tense, and it is used for actions that began and ended in the past.
Present tense is used to describe recurring events, habits, etc.

I will post a photo for the differences in past tense and preterite tense! Their endings are the major differences.
