You want to install a new carpet in your rectangular living room, which is exactly

14 feet wide by exactly 23 feet long. The carpeting is sold only in square meters.
How many total square meters of carpeting will you need? Round your answer to
the nearest square meter.

Hey!

You have to find the area of the carpet

Area = l × w

l = 23
w = 14

Multiply the numbers together

23 × 14 = 322

Now change it to square meters

1 ft = 0.092903 square meters
322 ft = 0.092903 × 322 square meters

0.092903 × 322 = 29 square meters
