Any trinomial that factors as two identical binomials is called a perfect square trinomial.

-Perfect Square Trinomial-

(x - 7) (x - 7)

A perfect square trinomial is one that can be factored to two identical factors.

For example, the trinomial
x² + 2x + 1
can be factored to
(x + 1)²
