An alligator tail length, T, varies directly as it’s body length, b . An alligator with a body length of 3 feet has a tail length of 2.7 feet. What is the tail length of an alligator whose length is 6 feet?

tail length = k (body length)
T= k (b)
2.7 = k (3)
2.7/3 = k
0.9 = k
[check result 2.7 = 0.9 (3) = 2.7]
T = 0.9
