4/6 is your answer beacuse you go up by 4 and go left by 6 and rise is over run so your answer would be 4/6

Because the line is parallel, the slope will be the same.

Use the formula:

(y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

Choose your points:

Let (x₁, y₁) = (3,3)
Let (x₂, y₂) = (-3,-1)

Plug into corresponding variables:

(y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) becomes (-1 - 3)/(-3 - 3)

(-1 - 3) = -4
(-3 - 3) = -6

-4/-6. Simplify. divide -2 top and bottom

(-4/-6)/(-2/-2) = 2/3

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2/3 is your slope. (rise 2, run 3)

hope this helps
