If triangle RED has vertices R(0,0) E(-3,4) and D(4,6), which of the following coordinates is R' of the dilation using the scale factor of 0.5?

A. R' (-1, -0.5)
B. R' (0,0)
C. R" (0.5, 0.5)

R is the origin (0,0). The point at the origin stays where it is assuming the center of dilation is the origin.

More technically we can multiply each coordinate of point R by the scale factor 0.5
x*k = 0*0.5 = 0
y*k = 0*0.5 = 0

Answer: Choice B. R' (0,0)
