When x = 3, y = 16 and when x = 6, y = 8. Which inverse variation equation can be used to model this function?

we know that

A relationship between two variables, x, and y, represent an inverse variation if it can be expressed in the form y*x=k or y=k/x

so

for x = 3, y = 16 -------> 16*3=48

and when

x = 6, y = 8--------> 8*6=48


the value of k=48

the inverse variation equation is

y=48/x


therefore


the answer is

y=48/x
