2[13 -- (1 + 6)]
work out the inner brackets first:
= 2[ 13 - 7]
Now the other brackets:-
= 2 * 6
= 12 answer

The answer is 12. You got the right answer.
I got this answer by doing PEMDAS.
First I answered the numbers in the parentheses and the brackets. then i multiplied the numbers in the brackets by the outside number which got me to twelve.
