The equation would be 2x+18=2.

2x→ "Two times a number" the variable x represents the unknown number.
+18→ "Eighteen more than"
=2→ "Two is"

For simplicity's sake, we can start by saying that the number we are looking for is x. So, starting with the first part, we can say that 2 equals something done to x. Now we have to find out what we have to do to x. To x, we have to do 2 (x) + 18 because since it 2 is eighteen more, that will mean that you have to do the multiplication first (key word more). So, that means our equation is x = 2(x) + 18.
