Hello!

As you can see, this radio station is 42 minutes of music, 3 minutes of commercial and 15 of news. Therefore, each bit is an hour long.

Now to find the probability of the news being on. We know it is on for 15 out of 60 minutes. We can simplify this to 1/4.

the probability that Lenny's favorite station will be on is 1/4 or one-fourth or the third choice
just add the times together which is one hour then take away fifteen minutes and you get forty-five minutes and 15 over 60 is one-fourth
