Definition
Isometric Transformations are those that preserve shape. If you translate something, the shape will not change. >>>> translated will give you >>>>.
There are three common ones.
Translation

These are harder to see and there are many that are not commonly listed.
The most common ones are.
dilation
shear Middle diagram. This is perhaps the most famous shear diagram. It has to do with finding the volume of an irregular figure whose height is a slant. But the basic idea is that you have a shear.
