The longer he rides, the bigger the role nutrition plays in his performance. If he gets that wrong and eats too little or too much, he will lose strength, stamina and mental focus and feel sick during the bike ride. He mainly wants to eat Carbohydrate, not protein or fat that fuels your muscles when exercising. During digestion, Carbohydrates such as pasta, bread, fruit, energy bars are absorbed into the bloodstream as glucose, a simple sugar that is stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen. When you exercise, stored glycogen is broken down into glucose to supply energy to working muscles
