The slope is
(3)/(-4) or -0.75.

m=
(y _(2)-y _(1) )/( x_(2)- x_(1) )
m=
(14-8)/(-10-(-2))
m=
(6)/(-8)
Simplify
(6)/(-8) into
(3)/(-4), by dividing two into the numerator and denominator.
m=-0.75

Hello!

To find the slope we divide the difference of the y-values by the difference of the x-values as shown below.

(14-8)/(-10+2) = -(6)/(8) = -(3)/(4)

The slope of our line is -3/4.

I hope this helps!
