The following are the temperatures in °C for the first 10 days in January: 1.6, -9.2, -6.4, 6, -3.9, 8, 5.8 ,1.5 ,-3.6 ,-9.4 Calculate the range.

The range of a set of data is the lowest number of the data subtracted from the highest one. The lowest is -9.4 and the highest is 6, so 6 - (-9.4) = 15.4 There is a range of 15.4 degrees between the lowest and the highest.
