Let's say the minimum point on the circle is (2,1). So a radius is the distance from the center to there. It's a vertical line, 3 units in length.

We plug into the equation


(x-2)^2 + (y - 4)^2 = 3^2


Final answer:


(x-2)^2 + (y - 4)^2 = 9

Hello!

When we look at this circle, it seems as if the center is located at (2,4). If we look directly below it we can see that the point (2,1) is at the edge of the circle. This means we have a radius of 3.

Now we plug the numbers into the equation.
