To compare these two prices, find the unit cost in each case, as follows:
$1.50 3
---------- * --- = $4.50/lb
(1/3) lb 3
$2.15 2
---------- * ----- = $4.30/lb
(1/2) lb 2
The 2nd food is the cheaper one, $0.20 per pound cheaper.
