Patty wants a triangle garden in her backyard for all of her vegetables. She

is going to use three pieces of fencing that measure 7 feet, 10 feet, and 8
feet. Will her garden be in the shape of a right triangle? Why or why not?

the hypothenuse is the largest side in the right triangle

we have 2 side, 7,8

in a right triangle, c^2= a^2+b^2

where c is the hypothenuse

c^2=49+64=113

c=sqrt113=aprox 10.6

so, the answer is no if it has to be exactly 10 ft the hypotenuse
