98/16 is a rational number.
That is because any number that can be expressed as a fraction, a/b, with b not equal to 0, is a ratio. Since 98/16 does just that, 98/16 is a rational number.

Remember this: Any number that can be or is a fraction is a rational number. Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be turned into a fraction, most likely a repeating decimal. Therefore the answer to this question is
"Rational."
Because
98/16 is a fraction.
Hope this helps!
