Natural rights are freedoms that all residents possess, despite, faith, ethnicity, gender, etc. These natural rights are deemed to be preserved by the government. In order to preserve these liberties, residents have to give up some of their personal rights. This opinion of the government defending natural rights in a transaction for a fewer personal right is recognized as a social contract.

Example:

We believe these facts to be self-evident, that all people are created even, that they are given by their Creator with individual unalienable freedoms, that with these are life, freedom, and the pursuance of satisfaction. These great words arrive from the Declaration of Independence, one of the most prominent establishing papers.
