Contractors are installing new carpet in an office. They need to cover 438 sq ft with new carpet. Each roll of carpet covers 112 sq ft. The contractors ordered 4 rolls of carpet. Is this a reasonable amount to order?

A.
Yes, it is reasonable because 4 rolls contain over 440 sq ft (since 110 × 4 = 440). They should order 4 rolls.

B.
No, it is not reasonable because 4 rolls covers only about 440 sq ft. Since 138 × 4 = 552, they should order 5 rolls.

C.
No, it is not reasonable because each roll holds about 100 sq ft of carpet and they have about 450 sq ft to cover, so they should order about 4 1/2 rolls.

A is the correct answer
112*4 = 448
or in this case because of rounding 110*4 = 440
