To convert centimeters to meters you simply move the decimal point?

there are 100 centimeters in one meter
therefore .1 meters = 10 centimeters
.01 meters = 1 centimeter
to convert form centimeters to meters you will move the decimal to the left 2 times starting from the far most right digit.
