The standard form is Ax + By = C, where A, B, and C are real numbers, and A is a positive integer.
Here are the steps:
(2)y = (-1/2x + 3)(2) -- you want to get rid of the fraction
2y = -x + 6 -- add x to both sides
+ x + x
x + 2y = 6 -- this follows standard form
x + 2y = 6 can be simplified even further to: x/2 + y = 3.
Both these equations are correct graph-wise,
I would use x/2 + y = 3 rather than x + 2y = 6.
