If the cos V is 2/3, we know it has to have been reduced down from a larger ratio. The cosine identity is side adjacent over hypotenuse, so if the reduced ratio is 2/3 then 24 has been divided by 8 to get 3. Multiply the 2 by 8 also to get side TV. TV = 16. cos V = 16/24 which simplifies to 2/3.
