Hey!

First, we'll drop the parenthesis and add seven to both sides of the equation. We are doing this to remove the subtract seven that is on the right side of the equation.

Original Equation :

((-9)/(8) ) x -7 = -25

New Equation {Added Add 7 to Both Sides} :

- (9)/(8) x-7+7=-25+7

Now, we'll simplify that equation.

Old Equation :

- (9)/(8) x-7+7=-25+7

New Equation {Old Equation Simplified} :

- (9)/(8) x=-18

Next, we need to multiply both sides of the equation by negative eight. This will get rid of the fraction.

Old Equation :

- (9)/(8) x=-18

New Equation {Added Multiply Both Sides by -8} :

( -(9)/(8)x )(-8)=(-18)(-8)

Once again, we simplify.

Old Equation :

( -(9)/(8)x )(-8)=(-18)(-8)

New Equation {Old Equation Simplified} :

9x=144

Next, we divide both sides by nine to get x on its own.

Old Equation :

9x=144

New Equation {Added Divide Both Sides by 2} :

(9x)/(9) = (144)/(9)

Now we solve.

Solution {New Equation Solved} :

x=16

So, this means that in the equation provided, x = 16.

Hope this helps!

C. X = 16

To solve, add 7 to both sides and multiply by the reciprocal of
(-9)/(8),
(-8)/(9).

( (-9)/(8) ) X - 7 = -25

( (-9)/(8) ) X = -18

X = 16
