ohn Gray bought a basic car for $32,750.00, with options that cost $375.00. There's a 6% sales tax in his state and a combined $50.00 license and registration fee. What was John's total cost? A. $35,140.00 B. $35,162.50 C. $35,165.50 D. $33,175.00

It's not clear if John needs to pay tax on the registration fee; presumably not.

Total cost
= (32750 + 375) * 1.06 + 50 = $35,162.50

Choice B.

If we pay tax on the registration fee as well, that's an addition 6% of 50, $3, choice C. But I'm going with choice B.

Hello.

The answer is B. $35,162.50

$32,750.00 + $375.00 = $33,125.00

then take 6% of that is $1,987.50 (33,125 x 0.06)

$1,987,50 + $33,125 + $50=

$35,162.50

Have a nice day
