The angle of elevation to the sun is 24°. What is the length of the shadow cast by a person 1.82 m tall?

The TOA part of SOH CAH TOA tells you ...
Tangent = Opposite/Adjacent

When applied to the triangle of shadow and person, this means
tan(24°) = (1.82 m)/(shadow length)
This can be rearranged to
(shadow length) = (1.82 m)/tan(24°) ≈ 4.09 m
