Hello!
There is
no square root
for a negative number. The reason being is that two negative numbers multiplied together would create a whole number. It is impossible to have a square root of a negative number.

There isn't any square roots for negative numbers. The square roots of numbers that are not a perfect square are members or irrational numbers. This means that they can't be written as a quotient of two integers.
