Let th' required % be = x

Then,
Accr'ding to the question :-

x % of th' 200 dollars. = 40 dollars


(x)/(100) × 200 dollars. = 40 dollars.

x × 2 dollars. = 40 dollars.

x =
\frac {40}{2}

x = 20

Hence,
The required % is = 20 %

To find the answer to the question we do the equation
40/200*100

Which gets us our answer of 20%
