Write the standard equation of a circle with center (2, −5) and radius 16. (x + 2)2 + (y – 5)2 = 4 (x – 2)2 + (y + 5)2 = 16 (x – 2)2 + (y + 5)2 = 256 (x + 2)2 + (y – 5)2 = 256

The general for of equation of a circle is
(x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 = r^2
In our example we have a = 2, y = -5 and r^2 = 256 so the answer is:0
(x - 2)^2 + (y + 5)^2 = 256
