\bf \textit{so there are }2(7)/(9)\textit{ sections of land each one is }2(1)/(5)

how much land are they all in total? well, is just their product.

let's firstly convert the mixed fractions to "improper" and then multiply.

\bf \stackrel{mixed}{2(7)/(9)}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot 9+7}{9}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{25}{9}} \\\\\\ \stackrel{mixed}{2(1)/(5)}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot 5+1}{5}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{11}{5}} \\\\\\ \cfrac{25}{9}\cdot \cfrac{11}{5}\implies \cfrac{25}{5}\cdot \cfrac{11}{9}\implies \cfrac{5}{1}\cdot \cfrac{11}{9}\implies \cfrac{55}{9}\implies 6(1)/(9)
