The best book to read and study before you enter the course would be the "Cracking the AP World History Exam" by Princeton Review book. It's only about $15 on online stores and it includes a lot of information you'll learn in the course!

I suggest watching videos on the topic you're going to be tested on on history channel, and to read AP World History Crash Course.
