Jimmy's parents have very clear rules about what is "ok" to do and what is not. they are very careful to enforce the rules. however, they are willing to listen to jimmy's side of the story, and are careful to explain why the rules are important. they even consider changing rules that don't seem to be working well. jimmy's parents are best described as having which sort of child raring pattern?

The fact that Jimmy's parents have very clear rules about what is "OK" to do and what is not, but they are very careful to enforce the rules and are willing to listen to Jimmy's side of the story, means that they are having authoritative sort of child raring pattern.
Authoritative parents have high expectations and demands, but they are also responsive and nurturing.
