The square all the way on the left the area would be 88 because 11 x 8 = 88. Then the middle square's area would be 165 because 15 x 11 is 165. Then the right square's area is 187 because 11 x 17 is 187. If you add all of those it is 440. then for the triangles, the width would be 15 and the hight would be about 11 so 1/2 x b x h = 1/2 x 15 x 11 = 15 x 5.5 = 82.5. 82.5 + 440 is 522.5. So 522.5 is your answer hope this helps.

Think of the three rectangles as a single large rectangle and find its area.

For the large rectangle made up of the three small rectangles:
Length = 8 cm + 15 cm + 17 cm = 40 cm
Width = 11 cm

area = length * width

area = 40 cm * 11 cm

area = 440 cm^2
