Estimate how many times larger 7 x 10^10 is than 13 x 10^8

We can find out how much larger something in scientific notation is compared to something else in scientific notation is by dividing the 10 to the power of x of the respective quantities and then dividing the numbers in front of that value (in this case 7 and 13). After we have both of those quotients, we can multiply them to find the answer. 7/13 is approximately 1/2, and 10^10 / 10^8 is 100. 0.5 * 100 is 50, meaning that the answer is approximately 50.
