2x+10 = -2(X-5)
Distribute the parenthesis
2x+10 = (-2X)- 10
add the ten on the right side
2x+20 = -2X
divide the 2 on the left side from the x
then you get 20=x or x=20

First distribute -2 to both x and -5
-2(x) = -2x
-2(-5) = 10
2x + 10 = -2x + 10
False. 2x + 10 ≠ -2x + 10
False
is your answer
hope this helps
