Hey!

Let's see here. To solve this problem we need to make start off by finding out how many aluminum cans Ariel and Marian collected individually.

Ariel - 76

Marian - 88

Now that we know that, we need to add them together. The reason we're adding them, is because the problem says 'all together' this is generally a key word that tells you you must add.

76 + 88 = 164.

So, Ariel and Marian collected 164 aluminum cans all together.

Hope this helps!

Hey there! :)

Since you want to find the total amount of cans Ariel and Marian collected, add the amount of cans they both collected together.

Ariel collected 76 cans.
Marian collected 88 cans.

Add 76 and 88 together

76 + 88 = 164

They both collected 164 cans together

Answer ⇒ A.164 cans

:)
